Gary Akin, Advisory Board Member.  Gary Akin has attended Rejoice Church for the past 10 years.  He is president of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce and has served in that position for the past 10 years.  Prior to his chamber profession, he spent 19 years, in Owasso, in the banking industry.  He is a founding and current board member of the Owasso Education Foundation.  He is a board member, and immediate-past president of the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executive Board of Directors.  He is a past chairman and current board member of the Owasso Economic Development Authority.  He has been a member of the Owasso Rotary Club for 20 years.  Gary currently serves on the Owasso City of Character Council.  Gary is a native Oklahoman. 
 
Monica Champ, Executive Director.  Monica joined the Rejoice Foundation in November of 2004.  She is currently employed by Rejoice Church.  Prior to her employment at Rejoice, Monica was a district sales manager where she managed a million dollar sales market and approximately 300 sales representatives.  Monica is married to Harry and they have two sons, Nathan, who attends Oklahoma State University and Aaron, who attends Tulsa Community College.
 
Susan Dilks, Vice-Chairman of the Rejoice Foundation.  Susan has served on the board since inception of the Rejoice Foundation in 2002.  Originally from Norman, Oklahoma, she has been a member of Rejoice Church for nearly 20 years.  Susan and her husband, Rick, have two daughters.  Earning her Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma, Susan has over 20 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.  She is currently the Financial Reporting Manager for The Williams Companies, Inc.
 
Doug King, Board Member.  Doug has been in the insurance business for 34 years.  He is an agent with Cornell Insurance Agency in Tulsa specializing in commercial insurance.  Doug and his wife, Linda, have three children and nine grandchildren.  Doug has coached girl's basketball for over 17 years.
 
Jeri Moberly, Board Member.  Jeri has been a Rejoice Foundation Board Member since 2006 and has enjoyed being a part of this exciting and vital mission.  Jeri volunteers at and supports the Owasso Ram Academy, Owasso's Alternative High School.  She and her husband, Joe have three sons.  She is an insurance agent with American National Insurance in Owasso and serves her client's needs in property, casualty, and life insurance.  Jeri is a member of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce and serves as a Chamber Ambassador.
 
Leonard Pirtle, Ex-Officio Board Member.  Leonard Pirtle has been on staff at Rejoice Church for over 38 years having served for over 36 years as senior pastor.  Currently he works on staff at Rejoice in adult related ministries, including promoting and developing the Rejoice Foundation.  He and his wife Carolyn have three grown children and four grandchildren.  He graduated with a BA from the Nashville Free Will Baptist Bible College with a degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry in 1970.  Leonard has served on several non-profit boards within the community and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore Oklahoma. 
 
Eddie Proctor, Board Member.  Eddie has been a member of Rejoice Church since 1972.  He has currently served as a teacher, he has been a business owner, and the Vice President of Owasso Builder's Supply.  He is a former Vice President of Hale Investments and managed over 200 properties.  In 1972 he received the Oklahoma City  "Citizen of the Year," award.  He is the father of two children, Lorie and Eric, and has one grandson, Ty.  Lorie is a teacher at Rejoice Christian School, and Eric is an Oklahoma State Representative. 
 
Mark Wilken, Chairman of the Rejoice Foundation.  Mark holds an MBA and a BS in accounting from Oral Roberts University.  He became a CPA in the spring of 1984.  Mark is currently employed by ONEOK.  Mark has been very active in various community activities including serving as Mayor of Owasso.  Mark teaches Sunday School and sings in the choir at Rejoice Church.  He and his wife Leigh have two children - Jonathan and Rebecca.  Jonathan is currently attending Wheaton College in Chicago and Rebecca is leaving for college this fall. 
 
Teri Davis, Board Member.  Teri joined Rejoice Foundation in October of 2008.  Teri has been married to Steve for 18 years and is the mother of two children, Izaak, 10 and Olivia, seven.  Teri has a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Tulsa and a Masters Degree in Nursing from San Francisco State University.  She has attended Rejoice Church for 11 years after returning from California and previously attended Rejoice when it was located on Atlanta Street.  Teri teaches in the Early Childhood Ministry, volunteers in the nursery, and is a part of the Moms in Touch group for Rejoice School. 
 
Shelly Cleveland, Board Member.  Shelly has attended Rejoice Church since 1991.  She has a MS and BS in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.  Shelly, a CPA, has worked for Bank of Oklahoma, N.A. since 1992 most recently as their Director of Corporate Income Taxes.  While at BOK, she has worked with a variety of non-profits in the field of taxation.  She is a past president and current director of the Oklahoma Chapter of Tax Executives Institute.  Shelly and her husband Gerald have two children, Courtney and Kenny.  Courtney is currently attending Centenary College in Shreveport, LA.  Kenny is a junior at Owasso High School. 
 
Sharla Pike, Board Member.  Sharla joined the Rejoice Foundation in 2010.  She is the Radiology Manager at St. John Owasso and has been with St. John Health System since 1999.  Sharla is an Ambassador for the Owasso Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Owasso Rotary Club, and a Rotary Board Member.  She also is on the Grant Committee of the Owasso Education Foundation, a member of the Tulsa County Criminal Justice Authority Sales Tax Committee, and a member of Rejoice Schools Parent Teacher Fellowship.   Sharla and husband James have attended Rejoice Church since 2007 where she volunteers in the Early Childhood Ministry and Vacation Bible School.  Together they have five children and six grandchildren.  Their youngest son, Clay, attends Rejoice Christian Schools.  Sharla is a native of Lincoln, Arkansas.  
 

Amos Berry, Board Member.  Amos, his wife, Jennette and daughter, Anastacia have attended Rejoice Church for the last four years.  Amos is a Regional Vice President in the financial services industry with Primerica, Inc., and has been with the firm since 1997.  He is the past President of the Oologah Area Chamber of Commerce and the current President of the Owasso Area Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.  He is an avid soccer player and competes on an indoor soccer team in Tulsa.  Amos is very active at Rejoice Church teaching stewardship and leading an in-home small group with Jennette.  Anastacia is in Kindergarten at Collinsville Elementary.

 
CJ Flynn, Board Member.   CJ has been apart of Rejoice Church for over 10 years. Starting as the 'sound man' for RC Kids in the 4th grade, he began playing guitar in the GroundZero worship band in 6th grade and leading worship for the Jr. High service, Fusion, in 8th grade. He now plays with our South Campus worship team on Sunday mornings. CJ is currently working at CareATC, Inc. as PHA Processing Manager. He plans to attain a degree in Healthcare Operations.
 
Carrie Underwood, Board Member.   Carrie Underwood is the President of TRI Leadership Resources, LLC a leading provider of training and development, event management, and association leadership to government, nonprofit, and educational institutions. Carrie is responsible for day-to-day operations at TRI ensuring their team of 50 employees around the United States successfully delivers over 500 events and projects impacting more than a quarter million students, educators, and leaders each year.
   Prior to becoming President of TeamTRI, Carrie served as the Deputy Director of Policy and Projects in the Office of the First Lady at the White House. During her service she oversaw the creation, development, and execution of over 200 domestic and international initiatives for the First Lady including literacy and education; historic preservation of America’s treasures; culture and the arts, women’s health, and gulf coast rebuilding efforts.
   Carrie has been an active member of Rejoice Church since eighth grade. She is an Owasso High School graduate and went on to earn her undergraduate degree in communications from Oklahoma Baptist University and masters in Adult and Occupational Education from Oklahoma State University. She has earned distinction as OBU’s graduate of the last decade, been recognized as National Business Person of the Year by the Future Business Leaders of America, and was selected by the Tulsa Business Journal 2012 class of “The Tulsa 40” recognizing up-and-coming business and community leaders.
    Carrie and her husband Ryan are the blessed parents of two young ladies, Madelyn Rose and Annabelle Ray and draw inspiration from Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
